Editing and Publishing Office
The Editing and Publishing Office of the
Novosibirsk State Conservatoire carries out the licensed issue of
the scientific, educational, methodical literature. In the
structure of the Office literary editors are engaged in qualified
preparation of the manuscripts to the edition, there is an
illustrator, and also experts in computer processing of materials.
Shindin B.A., the pro-rector in charge of the scientific work., is
responsible for the activity of the Office.
On the basis of the original-models prepared by
the Office the edition of the books is carried out. As a
polygraphic base the Office uses, as a rule, the publishing houses
"Science", "Offset", the Siberian Branch
Russian Academy's of Agricultural Sciences, the Novosibirsk
Polygraphic Factory.
Only during the last decade about 50 books
prepared by the employees of the Office were published under a
signature stamp of the Novosibirsk State Conservatoire. Among them
there are monographies, collected scientific articles, manuals,
reference manuals and others.
A new direction of the Office activity is
publication of a series "Educational library of the
Novosibirsk State Conservatoire" and an edition of the annual
"Siberian Musical Almanac". The first specimens of this
series is the manual "Aesthetics" by Gurenko E.G.,
rector of the Novosibirsk State Conservatoire, and "The
history of a west-european string quartet (from sources to the
beginning of the XIX centuries)" by Feldgun G.G., professor
of the Novosibirsk State Conservatoire. The Almanac is directed
towards the cultural needs of the Siberian Region and contains,
besides the scientific publications, materials dedicated to a
history of musical culture, outstanding musical figures of the
Siberia, foreign connections, research expeditions.
